SUPRA RESIDENCY & PRE-RESIDENCY PROGRAM

The Supra Residency Program is designed to enhance a player’s soccer development experience both in the classroom and on the field. We offer youth soccer players the excellence of a professional soccer academy, paired with an outstanding academic curriculum, in an unmatchable academic institution.

Residency Program Class Sample Schedule

Full-time Residency students attend morning classes and players will transition into their training regimen after the morning school session.

School Program Applicants
  • Need to be in 25 or more hours of supervised, Mon-Fri training, with certified coaches/instructors.
  • Need to be performing at an elite level (provincial/national ranking, etc.), and have evidence of performance.
  • Need to have G (Good) and E (Excellent) work habits.
  • They should have good academic achievement and excellent organizational skills.
  • Two years of documented performance/competition required.

Holistic Training

Sport-Specific, Athletic Development, Cross-training, Sport Psychology, Mental Skills, Nutrition, Video Analysis, Intelligym, Prehab/Rehab

Evening Training Schedule
  • All Pre-Residency players are expected to attend all regular academy evening sessions on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
  • Supra may be able to  provide care/supervision during the break period in between sessions (Fridays), if needed
  • Junior Mentorship Program (grade 8s)
  • Regular academy evening programming expected for ALL players (residency and non-residency program athletes).
  • Supra may be able to provide supervision for individuals that may need to stay around until the evening session, if needed.
  • Supra Junior Mentorship program will provide an opportunity for Day program athletes to earn volunteer hours by being coaching assistants for the Supra Staff Coaches for younger athletes. This is an optional item for a limited number of Full Time Residency athletes and will require consistent commitment.

Other Options

In the event players choose not to attend the recommended secondary school option, the Supra residency program will still be an option.  Here are some points to be aware of: 

  • Parents will have to organize half day programming through their current school district/catchment.  (Supra will provide as much assistance as they can but will not be responsible for completing this process for each individual).
  • Transportation to and from the training program must be arranged by the individual.
  • All training/programming will remain in the afternoon in order to complement class schedule.

  • Supra will send invites to selected grade sevens players
  • Selected players will need to accept/decline the offer within 48 hours
  • Selected players will need to confirm with their respective schools  that they may be excused for 2 or 3 afternoons per week to attend training
  • Players on the waiting list will be offered spots that become available
